About Don Pferdehirt
Engineer and Manager
An accomplished engineering and management professional, Donald (Don) Lee Pferdehirt joined the Bayer Corporation as a process engineer in 1984. Since then, Don Pferdehirt has held various leadership positions concerned with new technology development, quality improvement processes, and employment productivity programs.
In addition to helping the company reduce manufacturing costs by 15 percent, he managed more than $11 million per year in process improvements. Since 2005, he has served as head of global technical support for methylene diphenyl diiscocyanate (MDI) operations for Bayer.
Spring, TX resident Donald Pferdehirt attended Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a bachelor of science and a master of science in chemical engineering. He went on to earn a master of business administration from the University of Houston. In his free time, he enjoys staying active through running and skiing. Fluent in German and Turkish, he is a 10-time recipient of Bayer’s Quality Excellence Awards and was also a finalist for the President’s Achievement Gold Award.Education
